KHAIRPUR    -  Prolonged power load shedding up to 17 hours within 24 hours continued to badly affect socio-economic life in all villages of Khairpur Mirs district, villagers said Sunday. “The social activities have been badly affected due to power outages amid cold weather.  There is need to bring halt to crippling power load-shedding so that people could take a sigh of relief,” said Nisar Ahmed while talking to media. He said the prolonged power load shedding was being carried out in Khairpur district’s all villages, including Razi Dero Kacho, Kamal Dero, Khemtia, Jadowahan, Guhram, as rulers had no mercy on the people. Ali Gul, another villager, said Imran Khan regime nor Nawaz Sharif and PPP governments could resolve this issue since a decade which was a great injustice with the people. “Imran Khan during political campaigns on containers and election drive had made big claims of resolving power outages issue, but there was no progress yet,” he added. The load-shedding has made the life of people in the district miserable. There is urgent need to end load-shedding so that people could take a sigh of relief. There is also need to provide relief to the villagers of Khairpur district as climate change has made these districts colder one.
