The ongoing spate of target killing in Karachi with the latest death of a young budding Journalist from Zobe district of Balochistan is a stark reminder of the dire state of law and order in the mega city. What is needed is a man of the caliber of late General Babar who controlled the precarious situation of Karachi in the past wherein bodies were turning up in bags and the mayhem was reverted only by strong arm tactics of late General Babar. If similar powers are given to fiery Zulfiqar Mirza, the Home Minister of Sindh to operate with impunity against all law breakers of whatever hue they are, there may be hope. Only draconian measures of a strong nerved person are the need of the hour to control the bloodbath in Karachi as it has reached intolerable level for any civil government.
