Chinese state councilor leaves for boundary talks with India

Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo left Beijing for New Delhi on Sunday morning to attend the 15th meeting between special representatives on China-India border issues, Xinhua reported.
Special representatives from China and India will meet to discuss border issues from Jan. 15 to 17 in India, according to the Foreign Ministry. China and India share a 2,000-km border, which has never been formally delimited. The two began to discuss border issues in the 1980s. Two agreements were signed in 1993 and 1996, respectively, to maintain peace and stability in border areas.
