KARACHI - The dollar declined against the Pakistani rupee in the interbank market on most days of the week, dealers said Saturday. It commenced the week’s trading at Rs 90.62 for buying, fell 35 paisas and closed at Rs 90.27 for buying and Rs 90.32 for selling. The European currency decreased against the rupee as it started the week’s trading at Rs 116 for buying, lost 18 paisas and closed at Rs 115.82 for buying and Rs 116.02 for selling. The British pound lost strength against local currency as it began the week’s trading at Rs 140.48 for buying, moved Rs 1.97 down and closed at Rs 138.51 for buying and Rs 138.71 for selling.
In the open market, the dollar witnessed growth against the rupee. It started the week’s trading at Rs 90.85, gained 27 paisas and closed at Rs 91.2 for buying and Rs 91.7 for selling. The Euro slumped against the local currency as it initiated the week’s trading at Rs 115.8, lost 30 paisas and closed at Rs 115.5 for buying and Rs 118 for selling. The British currency recorded loss against the rupee. It began the week’s trading at Rs 140.3, went 80 paisas down and closed at Rs 139.5 for buying and Rs 141.5 for selling.
