LAHORE – Central Executive Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran has condemned the suicide attacks on the office of District Police Officer in Dera Ismail Khan.
Through a unanimously adopted resolution at the meeting held here on Saturday, the participants expressed concern on the prevailing law and order situation in the country. They were of the view that the situation of clash among the institutions was the outcome of the incumbent electoral system.
Addressing the meeting, Dr Raheeq Abbasi said that the current situation of the country had perturbed every citizen and had grave implications for Pakistan’s security and national economy. He said that MQI had its belief in democracy but added in the same context that what was being done was not democracy.
He said that the special meeting of Majlis-e-Shura to be held today (Sunday) would discuss the prevailing security situation in detail and Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri would declare the future course of action of MQI afterwards.
