KARACHI - A joint meeting of Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s coordination committee and legal experts held in London and Karachi on Saturday ended with no final decision to support the pro-government and democracy resolution tabled in National Assembly. However, another meeting of MQM will be held on Sunday afternoon to decide the MQM policy on the pro-government and democracy resolution but the sources in the MQM informed TheNation that the majority members of the party attended the meeting supported the pro-government and democracy resolution in the meeting.

The party will propose the suggestions of the meeting to MQM chief Altaf Hussain and announce its decision on Sunday after final session of the meeting.

Sources said the meeting, which continued for five hours, deliberated on the present political scenario and especially on pro-government and democracy resolution tabled in National Assembly.

The members of MQM coordination committee and party’s legal experts briefly discussed all legal and political aspects of the resolution in the wake of current political situation.

The party’s coordination committee will meet today (Sunday) to decide and announce the party point of view.
