LAHORE – Jamaat-e-Islami is in contact with all political and religious parties and it will soon announce its strategy with regard to possible upcoming elections.
Addressing a large gathering of party workers at Mansoora on Saturday, JI Ameer Syed Munawar Hasan said that the party had put all the options including seat adjustment on the table. He recalled that the PPP led government had done nothing but added to the miseries of the people and plundered the national wealth.
Munawar Hasan said that incumbent rulers beat the drum in connection with democracy but their actions and attitude were undemocratic.
“This attitude of government has put all the institutions in confrontation with each other. The government has made all the decisions taken by Supreme Court a mockery, he added.
He deplored that the government through its ill policies had made the country virtually a USA colony putting her sovereignty and integrity at stake. The country had become a safe haven for agents of CIA and Blackwater, he added.
He said that people of Pakistan were annoyed with the rulers’ anti-people policies and wanted to get rid of them as soon as possible.
