English cricketer Chris Tremlett has said that he is fit for a Test berth for the upcoming series against Pakistan, after recovering from an eye infection.

"I got quite a severe inflammation of the eye on the first day here and have been to see the eye specialist nearly every night," The Mirror quoted Tremlett, as saying

"It was a lot better today though. It is still a little bit blurry but it is getting there. To begin with I couldn't see anything out of my right eye, but it hasn't affected my bowling," he added.

His comments came after England defeated Pakistan in the second warm-up match.

A back injury had earlier kept Tremlett out of the squad for the second half of last summer, which allowed Tim Bresnan to replace him, but now the roles have been reversed.

"I got injured and Bressie came in and did well. Now he is injured and the door is open for me and Steve Finn, and I'm ready," he said.
