KARACHI - Following the imposition of governor rule in Balochistan, the Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) has said that the Sindh government has failed in controlling the worsening law and order situation in the province.It demanded immediate resignation of Sindh Chie Minister Qaim Ali Shah.PML-F’s provincial general secretary Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh demanded this while addressing a press conference at Raja House here on Monday. He said that target killings, extortion and kidnappings for ransom had been increased in Karachi and other parts of the province but the government was not taking steps to contain it.On this occasion, the political personality of Jacobabad Raja Khan Jakhrani, after meeting with the PML-F chief Pir Pagara, announced joining the PML-F.Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh said that his party supports the reforms agenda of Tahirul Qadri in principal but declared that people of Pakistan will not allow any delay or postponement of the general elections in the name of any reforms.He reiterated the support of Hazara community of Quetta, demanding the government to compensate the legal heirs of the victims. He said that the situation in the Karachi was not difference as target killings, extortion and kidnappings for ransom rising as Sindh CM expressed his helplessness in dealing the issue.He said those who were thinking to divide Sindh should not consider Sindh as a cake which can be divided into pieces.He said the voters list of Karachi should be prepared in accordance with the order of Supreme Court and not to deploy Army during the process of voters list is the inefficiency of election commission.He welcomed the joining of Jakhrani to PML-F and said it was a good omen. He paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Quetta tragedy.He said PML-F in principle agrees with the vision into the long march of Dr Tahirul Qadri and still supports his idea. He said but would never accept any kind of delay in general elections.Imtiaz said it was the inefficiency of election commission for not compiling the voters’ lists under the orders of Supreme Court. To a question, he said those who were considering dividing Sindh were living in fools paradise.He further said that the PML-F decided in principle to oppose the SPLGA 2012 which tantamount of dividing Sindh.Imtiaz said PML-F had come out as an alternate political force in Sindh and would serve the people without any discrimination. He said the PML-F was being reorganised and very soon president of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would be announced. To another question, he said no writ of the government was seen in Sindh and Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah should quit and accept his failure.
