LAHORE – TheNation Editor-in-Chief and Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Chairman Majid Nizami has said that national anthem is a sign of glorious past and a hope of shining future of the country.
Presiding over a sitting at Aiwan-e-Karkunan Tehrik-e-Pakistan on Monday, he added that the name of late Hafeez Jalandhari would be forever called with due respect as a composer of the national anthem of Pakistan.
The NPT and Pakistan Movement Workers’ Trust (PMWT) jointly organised the sitting in connection of 103th birth anniversary of Abu-ul-Asar Hafeez Jalandhari. NPT Vice-Chairman Professor Dr Rafique Ahmed also addressed on the occasion and paid tribute to the late poet. The participants prayed for the rest of his soul and for the progress of the country.
Also, Nizami said we should prepare ourselves to fight against India until it gave the right of self-determination to Kashmiris. Addressing a sitting on celebrating a black day on Aggression of India on Line of Control and Martyrdom of Pakistani soldiers at the Aiwan-e-Karkunan Tehrik-i-Pakistan, Majid Nizami said neighboring country was involved in water terrorism against Pakistan and killing of innocent soldiers. We should fight war for the Held Kashmir.
NPT Vice Chairman Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad said India, after attacking Pakistan on political and cultural fronts, wanted to destroy its economy. “We should not have links with India till the resolution of all the outstanding disputes between the two neighbouring countries”, he added.
Molana Shafi Josh, Dr Yaqub Zia, Shahid Rashid and a large number of people from different walks of life attended the protest demonstration. The programme was organised by NPT in collaboration with Tehreek-i-Pakistan Workers Trust.
