PESHAWAR - Expressing sympathies with the affected families of Balochistan, both the ruling and opposition parties except government ally Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl, supported governor rule in Balochistan and termed it the only solution to address the demands of the terror victims of Quetta.

Talking to TheNation Central General Secretary of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Iqbal Zafar Jaghra said that in case of any emergency, the constitution has empowered the Chief Minister of the concern province to declare Governor Rule, however in this case due to absence of Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani, the Prime Minster had the power to declare Governor Rule in Balochistan. He said that people across the country have come out for the support of blast victims and in the wake of public demand, the decision was imperative to dismiss the incapable Chief Minister and his cabinet as a reaction of such tragic incidents. He said if such incompetent rulers rule the country, then there is no choice with the people but to come on roads.

When asked regarding next step to improve the law and order situation in Balochistan, he said that the next step for resolving the lingering issue of terrorism is to hold fair and free election. He said that the after election the next government would face a lot of challenges but with honest and sincere determination all these problems would be resolved.

Provincial General Secretary of Awami National Party Arbab Tahir Khalil said that Awami National Party supporting this move of federal government as government have no other option except to impose Governor Rule. He said that to improve law and order situation in Balochistan the federal government should take all stakeholders into confidence.

Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Prof Ibrahim said that this is not only the issue of Balochistan, the federal government should also resign as both the provincial and federal governments have lost control over his power and they have been failed to restore the public confidence and if this wave of terrorism continued then all the people across the country would come on roads.

He said that civilian government in Balochistan had been baldy involved in corruption and they had no interest to keep the law and order situation in control. He said that not only the provincial government, but also the PPP led central government should resign to accept their inefficiency.

When asked regarding army deployment in Balochistan, he said that he is not in favor of army deployment in Balochistan and the local police and FC should be empowered to cope with the menace of terrorism.  

Provincial Information Secretary of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl, Maulana Jalil Jan opposed the idea of Governor Rule in Balochistan and hold Balochistan Chief Minister responsible for the entire situation. He said that JUI was not in favor of this decision but they were supporting in-house change in Balochistan Assembly.

He expressed sympathies with Terrorism affected families and assured all kind of moral support with terror-hit people Hazara community and other citizens. He said that JUI condemning such heinous acts of terrorism in all over the country.

Regarding army deployment, he suggested that it depend upon Governor that how he would manage the situation and if needed he should call army to deploy in Quetta city for controlling the law and order situation.

PTI Information Secretary Zahid Hussain said that from the very first day, they were supporting Governor Rule in Balochistan as the government of Balochistan had no right to rule the province after failing to provide security to its masses.
