LAHORE – The syndicate of the University of Health Sciences (UHS) has approved the curricula of MPhil medical laboratory sciences and BSc nursing 4-year programme (HEC Scheme).
The 34th meeting of the syndicate was held on Monday with UHS Vice Chancellor Prof IA Naveed in the chair. Amjad Islam Amjad, Prof Naseer Mahmood Akhtar, Kanwar Rafique, Prof Muhammad Saeed, Prof K P Lone, Prof A H Nagi, Prof Mohammad Tahir, Dr Anwar Janjua, Mohammad Iqbal and Dr Asad Zaheer attended the meeting.
The syndicate approved the amendment in eligibility criteria for admission to BSc (Hons) in biotechnology. As per the amendment, the candidates with FSc Pre-Engineering will also be eligible for admission to the course. However, preference will be given to those with FSc Pre-Medical qualification.
The syllabi and courses of master’s in health professional education, 4-year master’s and 2-year diploma in family medicine and certificate in medical teaching programme in collaboration with University of Liverpool were also approved in the meeting.
The syndicate also approved the format of PhD degree in clinical and basic sciences’ disciplines.
