Islamabad - The Banigala police on Wednesday booked several persons including an Islamabad police official for offering resistance, threatening with dire consequences and damaging government property as a team of enforcement directorate of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) along with police party reached there to carry out operation against illegal constructions.

According to details, a team consisting of the staff of the enforcement directorate of CDA and Islamabad police officials reached Dhok Elahi Buksh in the Banigala areas of the federal capital. As soon as the team started operation against illegal constructions, one Ansar who was later known to be an Islamabad police official appeared over there and offered resistance to the team. Holding a pistol in his hand, the accused threatened the enforcement team of dire consequences in case they continued the operation.

The FIR# 5/15 registered with the police station said that some 15-20 persons gathered on the scene within no time as Ansar invited them to attack the CDA officials and the police party.
