RAC exhibition delivers message of Sufism

rawalpindi - A young artist Younis Roomi organised an exhibition at Rawalpindi Arts Council yesterday to deliver the message of Sufism. As many as 100 art pieces have been put on display in the exhibition. PML-N MPA Raja Hanif Advocate accompanied by MPA Lubna Rehan Pirzada, MPA Tehseen Fawad, Naheed Manzoor and RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed inaugurated the exhibition. Younis Roomi painted the message of Sufi saints of Pakistan like Shahbaz Qalanadar, Bari Imam, Data Ganj Bux, Baba Bulleh Shah, Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai, Chizil Shah, and Budhal Faqeer.
His art pieces also show his great inspiration in Dervish dance of Turkey, Egyptian and Malang dance. He combined poetry and Islamic architecture to lace the paintings with the message of saints.
The speakers appreciated the work of the artist. They were of the view that Islam spread in subcontinent by Sufi saints and their teachings must be followed for peace in society.
