LAHORE - The 13th Cholistan Desert rally will begin on February 15 from the bridge of Sutlej River Bahawalpur.

This was decided at a meeting, chaired by Punjab Minister for Cooperatives Muhammad Iqbal Channar, here on Sunday. The Minister said that a comprehensive programme would be chalked out to add beauty and attractions to the remarkable event.

An impressive ceremony would be arranged on the opening day of the rally. Cavalcade of more than 100 vehicles would pass through various parts of Bahawalpur city.

Roads and passages of the rally in the City would be decorated with colourful flags, balloons  etc.

People will warmly welcome the participants of the rally. Drivers and racers would be apprised of the culture and heritage of Bahawalpur.

Instructions have been issued for removing all types of hurdles on the way of the rally. A traffic plan has also been issued.

A special fitness check-up of the drivers, racers and their vehicles would be arranged at the Sutlej river bridge.

Later, numbers will be allotted to the participants of the rally. The Minister said that the government would leave no stone unturned to make the rally a remarkable event.
