GUJRANWALA - A three-year-old child died after falling into an open manhole here at Professors Colony on Sunday. According to locals and Rescue 1122 sources, three-year-old Abdul Rafeh was playing in the street in front of his house in Professors Colony. In the meanwhile, he slipped and fell into a broken manhole. Locals on self-help basis pulled out the child from the manhole and rushed to DHQ Hospital but he could not survive. Later, dwellers of the area staged a protest against the MC administration for not covering manhole despite repeated complaints.
