KARACHI The Hockey Australia has announced list of probables for the Youth Olympic Games which will be held in Singapore from August 16 to 25. Pakistan is amongst six teams that will appear in the ten day games. According to information available here Tuesday, the teams nomination comes after a Youth Olympic Games selection camp was held in Canberra following the recent Under 18s Mens National Championship. Australian Youth Olympic Games squad is: Flynn Ogilvie, Jordan Willott, Luke Noblett, Jeremy Hayward, Andrew Butturini, Daniel Beale, Dylan Wotherspoon, Jake Farrell, Daniel Mathiesen, Robert Bell, Ryan Edge, Rory Middleton, Byron Walton, Casey Hammond, Jayshaan Randhawa, Oscar Wookey. Final confirmation of the squad will be provided by the AOC as they will ratify and endorse all selections by the end of this month. The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has already named the teams who will participate in the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) . Six boys and six girls teams will participate in the hockey tournament of the First Youth Games. The FIH said it was pleased that in both competitions all five continents were involved. The IOC qualification criteria only allowed the host nation to nominate one team for the hockey competitions and Singapore opted to play in the boys competition. The following teams will take part in the YOG: Boys Competition: Singapore (host), Pakistan (Asia), Ghana (Africa), Belgium (Europe), Australia (Oceania), Chile (Pan America). Girls competition: Korea (Asia), South Africa (Africa), Netherlands (Europe), Ireland (2nd European quota), New Zealand (Oceania), Argentina (Pan America).
