LAHORE - Acting President, PPP Lahore women wing and Parliamentary Secretary for Irrigation, Faiza Malik has said that there is no question of holding mid-term polls and the present government will complete its tenure. Talking to the delegation of party women at her residence on Wednesday, she said certain elements wanted holding of snap polls under the pretext of fake degrees of some parliamentarians, but PPP government would not let their desire fulfilled. She said that the present government as well as President Asif Ali Zardari would complete tenure adding that existence of all political forces hinged upon survival of democracy. She said strengthening of democracy at the moment was as essential as inhalation for a human being. If anything wrong happens to it, every body will be the loser, Faiza remarked. She said history was testimony to the fact that PPP always worked to strengthen federation and passage of 18th amendment and the NFC award was an obvious example of it. She said that water dispute among the provinces would also be resolved soon. She said PPP believed in strong federation and there would be no injustice with any province over distribution of water.
