MARDAN – Several office-bearers of the ruling Awami National Party (ANP), union council of PK-25, have rendered their resignations form their offices in a protest against what they called the apathy of the party’s local president towards their problems.

Sources said that Mohammad Idress Khan, ANP, general secretary, Ikramullah Khan, vice president, Zafar Ali Khan, deputy general secretary, Khasta Khan, joint secretary, Taj Gohar, joint secretary II, Qaid Ali Khan, finance secretary of ANP union council Kandar of PK-25 from where Ghani Dad Khan is elected as member of provincial assembly submitted resignations with ANP district office in which they stated that PK-25 president Niaz Ali Khan in his personal capacity did all the developmental works and distributed funds in mosques and ignored the office-bearers and sincere workers of the union council.

They added that union council Kandar president Gul Mohammad Khan also ignored the party office bearers and sincere workers in all the matters.

They stated that at last we were compelled to resign the party offices in this situation.

They stated in their written resignation that we as a protest gave resignation form our offices.

Meanwhile on last Thursday district council meeting of ANP was held provincial office bearers addressed that meeting during that meeting several district councilors put charges of corruptions on some office bearers later on some office bearers PK 24 beated a councilor and seriously injured him for putting corruption charges on him.

He was admitted in hospital but later on he was discharged after first aid.
