ISLAMABAD - Bad weather denied Pakistan from levelling the series during the second Test as visitors were in commanding position in the third Test as pitch was offering great assistance to the pacers during the first three days of the final match against Sri Lanka, these views were expressed by Pakistan bowling hero Junaid Khan in an exclusive interview with TheNation on Saturday.

He said, selectors had shown a lot of faith in his abilities and that was the main reason for his performance as his confidence level was sky high and he bowled in full rhythm and used my previous experience of playing in Sri Lanka. He said he had earlier toured with Under-19 and Pakistan A teams before and was familiar with the conditions while his performances during those tours were quite extra ordinary, Junaid said. He said that he just concentrated on his line and length that worked for him and helped in performing well during the matches.

Junaid Khan was Pakistan's most successful bowlers with 14 wickets including two 5 wickets haul with am average of less than 21 runs per wicket.

Junaid said he is working hard on his bowling and giving extra time in the nets to further improve his abilities and to overcome his mistakes.

Junaid Khan is a bowler that has the ability to perform in pressure and has proved his credentials during his stint with the Lancashire last year.  He should be included in the World Twenty20 Cup line up to prove his skills in the shorter format of the game. He represented Lancashire in Twenty20 last year and won matches for them and provided breakthrough at the crucial stage of the match if Pakistan selectors keep faith in him he will prove himself and will not let them down.
