GUJRANWALA - Bandits deprived (armed) police officials including an SHO of rifles, cellphones and Rs25,000 while on a patrol near village Kotli Machrawan early Saturday morning.As per details, Ferozewala Police SHO Naeem Butt was on patrol along with two constables when suddenly four bandits intercepted them.The culprits snatched Rs25,000, an iphone and wrist watch from the SHO. The culprits also took away rifle from a constable Mujahid Ali. On the other hand, sources claimed that the bandits also deprived the two constables of two rifles and some cash amounts. However, the police did not confirm this version and attempted to hush up the matter. Meanwhile, SP Zulfiqar Ahmad said that the SHO had shown bravery by not facing the outlaws despite having two armed subordinates in the company.He said that an inquiry was being conducted into the incident and legal action would be taken against the SHO for negligence.Transferred, posted: Punjab Inspector General of Police Habibur Rehman on Saturday transferred and posted Ihsan Ullah Chuhan from SDPO Saddr Circle Sargodha to SDPO Samundri, Faisalabad. The IGP also transferred Khalid Bashir Cheema from DSP/RIB Sargodha and posted SDPO Batala Colony Faisalabad and Matee Ullah Khan from DSP Special Branch Sargodha to SDPO Khurdianwala Faisalabad on administrative grounds.
