Students must focus on learning, says Shami

LAHORE – Noted journalist and the Daily ‘Pakistan’ Editor Mujeebur Rehman Shami said on Saturday that the nation was proud of the youth.
Addressing students of the Ideological Summer School (ISS), Shami, the chief guest, said continuous struggle was indispensable for success and the students should focus their energies on learning. “The students should follow those role models who established a separate country for them; and were an embodiment of dignity, honour and prestige,” he advised.
Shami said the life of Quaid-e-Azam was a role model for them and, by following in his footsteps, the new generation could make Pakistan strong and stable.  Eminent journalist and TheNation Editor Salim Bokhari said on the occasion that the services rendered by the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT) regarding ideological and ethical training of the students at ISS were commendable. “The NPT’s platform would prove to be a nursery for the new leadership. It is high time to create awareness among the new generation about the Pakistan Movement, its heroes and objectives,” Bokhari reiterated. NPT Vice Chairman Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad, Secretary Shahid Rashid, Dr MA Soofi, Rafaqat Riaz and Dr Yaqub Zia were also present on the occasion. Dr Rafique also gifted a set of NPT publications to the guests.
