Teachers reject training during Ramazan




RAWALPINDI - Punjab Teachers Union and SES Teachers Union Punjab have refused to participate in teachers training, starting from July 16 citing sizzling hot weather and Ramazan.
The decision was taken in a meeting headed by Punjab Teachers Union Rawalpindi chapter president Syed Sijad Akbar Kazmi. The teachers’ union members deplored education department for organising training in Ramazan, saying that they would not be able to participate in course with fast in sizzling hot weather.
Teachers said that the policy of Punjab education department of amalgamating thousands of boys’ schools in girls’ schools on the pretext of consolidation would never be acknowledged and suggested that the government should plan to establish more educational institutions. They demanded the Punjab Education Department to arrange training after the month of Ramazan.
