PESHAWAR - The federal government has rejected the appeal of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government regarding shifting of Dr Shakil Afridi to other province owing to growing security concerns.

The provincial government had made an appeal to the federal government that there are serious security threats to the life of Afridi from militants and a serious misshape can happen on the jail's premises. They requested the federal govt to shift Afridi to any other part of the country.

The federal govt rejected the appeal and urged it to provide foolproof security to Afridi.
