Parliamentary leader of Jamaat-e-Islami in Punjab Assembly and Provincial Ameer Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar has demanded the government to raise strong voice against Israeli terrorism at international level and demand action against the terrorist state.

Talking to the journalists on phone on Monday, he added that over 175 men, women and children had so far embraced martyrdom in Israeli air strikes and the barbarianism still continued. He demanded Muslim states to convene international conference against Israeli aggression and chalk out a joint line of action against the rogue state.

He lamented that the biggest hurdle in way to creation an independent Palestinian state were the US and her agent Muslim rulers. He maintained that besides the US and Israel, the rulers of Muslim states, who kept mum on Israeli terrorism, should also be condemned. He regretted that Israeli barbarianism could be gauged from the fact that it destroyed a rehabilitation centre for the disable in airstrikes. He said that international community should take strong action against Israel after her refusal to stop strikes. He said that the basic human rights of residents of Ghaza should be respected. He said that the conspiracies of enemies of Islam could not be foiled until Muslim Ummah got united.

Meanwhile, JI leadership has announced to mark Palestine Solidarity Week to express solidarity with Palestine and condemn Israeli terrorism. JI Multan Amir Asif Mehmood Ikhwani said that a rally would be brought out from JI Multan office on July 18 at 6:30 pm while clerics would adopt condemnation resolutions in juma sermons to condemn Israeli attacks.
