There is nepotism in the ranks of the KPK police. Recently, recruited Directors in two newly established police schools held this ideology. Both vacancies were neither advertised nor were they selected on merit. The newly appointed ‘Director of Police Investigation School’ has no experience and he is a retired Air Force officer. The other director of Police Intelligence School established at Abbottabad has the same story. These appointments have been carried out discreetly without any advertisement by KPK Police. It is PTI’s responsibility to address these appointments in the police and other governmental departments through transparent merit-based policies.
