Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) Chief Executive Officer Engr Muzaffar Ali Abbasi has said that supplying electricity to small industries stands at the top of priority of the company, adding that all electricity-related problems being faced by the industries will be resolved forthwith.

Talking to a delegation of Power Looms Association here at his office on Monday, he added that all out efforts were being made to upgrade distribution system and all overload feeders would soon be divided into two feeders to balance the load. He hoped that the division would end tripping. He directed officials concerned to compile a detailed report on the problems being faced by Power Looms industry so that the issues could be resolved.

The leader of the delegation Khaliq Qandeel Ansari demanded the CEO on this occasion to approve new LT Proposals, issue order for installation of high-power transformers and bifurcate overloaded feeders.

31 get promotions, four transferred

Meanwhile, the promotion board of the Mepco has approved promotions of 31 workers to next grade. Mepco sources said that 30 lower division clerks have been promoted to scale 9 from scale 7 while a junior store keeper is lifted to scale-12 from 11. Similarly, as many as four officers have been transferred and posted.
