Rawalpindi - A 19-year-old girl, who is student of second year in a government college, was gang raped by three accused in Habib Town.
The rapists also recorded the satanic act in mobile phone and later swindled gold and cash from the victim girl while blackmailing her and other family members, reliable sources disclosed to The Nation yesterday.
According to sources, a citizen Muhammad Ikram, resident of Dhoke Chaudhrian and father of the victim, appeared before Police Station Airport officials and told them that his daughter HI, aged 19 and second year student in the Government Degree College for Women at Jhanda Cheechi, was going for tuition in academy at 4:30pm on 10/7/2016 when a man Nadim, who provides her pick and drop service for college, stopped his taxi cab near HI.
He added that Nadim offered a lift to HI to academy which she accepted as he was her college van driver.
The ill-fated father further stated that Nadim pulled out his pistol and put into the mouth of his daughter and threatened her not to shout or else he would kill her. He informed police that the driver took the girl to Dhoke Kala Khan Chowk where he another man namely Malik also boarded the taxi. Later, the two men took my daughter to a house located at Habib Town near Gol Mosque where the third person Raja Abid was already present, he added. He said added all three persons gang raped his daughter and also recorded the acts on mobile phone. Muhammad Ikram added that the rapists dropped his daughter outside her house at 12am on the same night and fled. He went on to say the rapists phoned his son and asked him that they had raped his sister and recorded her nude videos and if he would not pay them money then the nude videos of HI would be uploaded on the internet.
He said that his son sought sometime from the callers and brought the matter into his notice. He said that HI told family members that she had already paid Rs60,000 and 3 tolas of gold to the rapists to refrain them from uploading her nude video on the internet. He sought legal action against the rapists. Taking action, police registered a case against the rapists and started investigation, sources said.
They said that earlier the father of the girl appeared before ASI Sajid Shah at PS Airport and tried to lodge a complaint against the rapists but the police officer refused to accept the application. Later, the matter was brought into the notice of SP Potohar Division Muhammad Ateeque Tahir who immediately ordered DSP Civil Line Circle and SHO PS Airport to lodge FIR and provide the girl with justice. Following the orders of SP, the girl was moved to the BBH where doctors conducted her medical and declared that she was raped.
Till filing of this report, the rapists could not be arrested by police. SP Potohar Division Muhammad Ateeque Tahir was not available for his version on the gang rape of a girl.
