Islamabad - Islamabad Ramana police on Wednesday raided a house in sector G-12 and arrested four persons besides recovering 1,800 liquor bottles and brewing tools, a police spokesman said yesterday.  He said on a tip off, a police team raided an under-construction building and nabbed four persons preparing liquor. The nabbed persons were identified as Malik Khurram Shehzad, Zahid Akbar, Muhammad Niaz and Rashid Masih. Police recovered 1800 liquor bottles, stickers and brewing equipment from the building. According to the police, the landlord, Malik Yasir made his escape good from the scene.

The sources in the local police said that the accused used to deal in liquor since long in connivance with the police and added escape of the property owner from the scene is reflection of the same. The police have booked the accused under relevant sections of the law.

Furthermore, Tarnol police Islamabad have arrested three narcotics smugglers and recovered 11 kilogram heroin from them during special checking at Sangjani area near GT road. 

On a tip off, SP (Saddar Zone) Bilal Zafar Sheikh and ASP (Saddar Circle) Umer Khan constituted a special team for checking on GT road to arrest the drug paddlers. The team headed by SHO Tarnol police station started checking and intercepted a white colored Suzuki Alto car (IDM-9996). The car occupants tried to speed away but the police team managed to stop them near sector D-17. They arrested persons were identified as Babar Hussain Shah, Wajid Hussain sons of Altaf Hussain Shah and Shahid Hussain son of Iftar Hussain. One of the car occupants, Raees Khan managed escape by taking advantage of darkness whose search is underway. Police recovered 11 kilogram heroin from the car and registered a case. Further investigation is underway.
