ISLAMABAD: A local court in Islamabad today extended the interim bail of senator Hamdullah , till July 20.

The senator has been on an interim bail after police have registered a case against him, on a complaint of human rights activist Marvi Sirmad.

When Additional Sessions Judge in Islamabad Raja Asif took up the case for hearing, Senator Hamdullah appeared in the court to seek extension in his interim bail. Asif Mumtaz filed his power of attorney as counsel of Marvi Sirmed and requested the court to give time for arguments, on the bail plea.

The court accepted the plea adjourned the case till July 20. Talking to media men outside the court, Senator Hamdullah said that he had come from Balochistan for appearing before the court. I have full confidence in the judiciary and I have attended the court hearings, but the rival party was not attending the hearings.
