LAHORE: The University of Health Sciences (UHS) and National Ambulance Services College (NASC), Dublin, Ireland, have agreed to name Pakistan’s first National Ambulance Services College after Abdul Sattar Edhi.

The college is currently functioning under UHS Institute of Learning Emergency Medicine (ILEM). The college will now be called Edhi National Ambulance Services College, Pakistan.

It has also been decided to institute a gold medal in the name of late Abdul Sattar Edhi which will be awarded to the best student of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course every year.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Engineer has paid rich tributes to iconic humanitarian Abdul Sattar Edhi describing him as a ‘Saint of Pakistan’ who spent his whole life serving humanity selflessly in a committed and determined manner without any discrimination.
