The PTI Chief put it eloquently when he said that using force in Kashmir will only backfire for the Indians and this has been proved time and time again, escalating to the point today where dozens have been slaughtered by Indian troops in Indian Held Kashmir. In light of this situation United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s offer to mediate Pak-India peace talks amid heightening tensions between the two countries is a welcome gesture. The Indian government’s view that the ongoing unrest in IHK is an ‘internal’ matter is a ludicrous one considering that even prominent voices in India, for example well known author Arundhati Roy has commented on the fact that it is time that India ends its occupation of Kashmir and let the people decide for themselves. It is hoped that the senseless violence will come to an end soon and an amicable solution is found in the midst of such unrest.

“India is using troops in Kashmir. They are losing the battle of heart and minds. It’s like treating cancer with dispirin.”

PTI Chief Imran Khan, in an interview with an Indian

daily, Mail Today – November.
