PM chairs special cabinet meeting today

LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is chairing a special meeting of his cabinet at Governor House today with Kashmir on top of the agenda. Cabinet members would be asked to give suggestions to highlight the Kashmir issue at the international level.

The foreign secretary will brief the cabinet about the steps taken so far to apprise the world powers of the Indian atrocities on Kashmiris demanding their right to self-determination.

The Foreign Office has already directed country’s ambassadors abroad to keep the issue alive in their meetings with government officials.  Official sources said the cabinet would also formulate government’s response to take up the issue of human rights violations in the held valley with the Indian government.

Also, the cabinet is most likely to enhance maximum age limit in CSS examination from existing 28 to 30 years.–Staff Reporter
