PESHAWAR - A woman has appealed the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police and Chief Justice Peshawar High Court to provide protection from her husband and his family.

Addressing a press conference in Peshawar Press Club nargis, wife of Anwar Javed said that her husband has married another woman and wanted to oust her from the house forcibly along with her children.

She alleged that her husband and his second wife tortured her several times and pressurized her to leave the house without any divorce.

She informed that her husband was not ready to give her daily expenses for their children and she could not afford to feed them, as her monthly income is only 1500 rupees.

She appealed Chief Justice Peshawar High Court and Inspector General of Police to provide protection from her husband Javed Anwar and his family who are torturing her on daily basis.
