Boxer Amir Khan to donate Rs 1mn for dams fund

British boxer of Pakistani descent Amir Khan has announced a donation of one million rupees for dam fund. The announcement was made in a video message posted on social media by the renowned player.

Amir said, Pakistan is facing the severe water shortage and I urged the celebrities and common Pakistanis to contribute to the fund.

Recently the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Saqib Nisar set up a fund to build the Diamer-Basha and Mohmand Dams to resolve the prevailing water crisis in the country.

Admiring the Pak Army and other government officials role in contributing the fund Amir said he will donate more in the fund after his next fight.

Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Khan Afridi has also announced to donate  RS 1.5 million to the fund.

CJP Saqib Nisar himself donated RS 1 million in the fund to build Diamer, Mohmand dams.
