Two children drowned while taking bath in a canal in Khairpur on Sunday.

Body of one fished out, search for other was underway. Rescue sources said that while taking bath in Rohri Canal in Khairpur, two children were swept away by gushing wave and drowned in deep water.

Other children present on the scene informed the elders after which rescue operation was kicked off.

Body of one child was pulled out while search for other was in progress.
