2 cars stolen; woman's cellphone snatched

RAWALPINDI - Two vehicles have been stolen in different incidents in the city here on Sunday. In another incident, two motorcyclists snatched purse carrying Rs 5000 and a mobile from a woman in Cannt while unknown burglars stormed into the house of a citizen in the area Sadiqabad and made off with Rs 10,000 cash and gold ornaments. As per details, Akbar Rehan inhabitant of Gulistan Colony filed a complaint with PS Civil Lines stating that his car bearing registration number JB-531 was stolen from outside his home whereas PS New Town officials have been informed by Zafar Ahmed Khan of D-Block Satellite Town that his car number LRK-768 was stolen. Police have registered cases against the unknown car lifters and started investigation. Farzana Lodhi complained to PS Cannt that she was shopping at Al-Amin Plaza when two unknown bike riders snatched her purse carrying Rs 5000 and a cell phone. PS Sadiqabad has registered a case against Shamim and Mustafa on the complaint of Nadeem Ahmed of Karimabad in which he alleged that aforementioned thieves broke into his home and stolen Rs 10,000 and gold ornaments.
