At least 30 people were killed and dozens missing in Bangladesh after heavy rains caused widespread flash floods and triggered landslides, police said Tuesday. At least 26 people were killed in the southern beach resort of Cox's Bazaar and four more in the nearby Bandarban hills. "In my district at least 26 people have died. We could not start our rescue efforts yet as a landslide triggered by the rains has clogged up the main highways," Cox's Bazaar police chief Nibhas Chandra Majhi told foreign news agency. "And the rain is still pouring down," he added.
