ISLAMABAD Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry did not accept dinner invitation of High Court Bar Association, Lahore, as the Lahore High Court Bar is a party in the forthcoming cases on 18th Amendment. According to a press statement, having regard for judicial propriety Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry cancelled the dinner appointment due to above reason and the Supreme Court intimated them accordingly. It is pertinent to mention here that invitation was extended by the Presidents of Lahore High Court and District Bar Associations to Chief Justice to attend the dinner at Lahore on June 19 and the same has been cancelled due to reason cited above.
