Fozia Behram slaps Sajida Meer

LAHORE - Fozia Behram, PPP MPA, slapped his colleague MPA Sajida Meer and both of them used abusive language against each other in the lobby of Punjab Assembly during a parliamentary meeting of the party minutes prior to the budget sessionv on Monday, eyewitnesses MPAs said. Reportedly, Sajida Meer warned Fozia to avoid using cheap word 'mean for the poor. According to Sajida, she rebuked her colleague but instead of taking words in her favour Fozia slapped her besides issuing life threats. An MPA on condition of anonymity said Sajida was right on her part and Fozia would have to remain in her limits. He further said during the scuffle an ill-fated security guard of Punjab Assembly had to sustain a minor injury. The MPA said according Fozia threatened Sajida by saying My driver has already killed 17 people and I will give him the next task of closing the chapter of your (Sajida) life. On the other hand, Sajida Meer, after the quarrel, told the reporters that such members of the party should be severely checked from politics. She also demanded of the party leadership to take a strict notice of the incident. Man found dead A 75-year-old drug addict was found dead from Parinda Market in Bhatti Gate police precincts on Monday, police said. According to details, an unknown person phoned the police of the concerned area and informed about the body lying in front of a shop at about 11:30 am. Police investigators are of the view, that apparently the deceased seemed a drug addict but it was too early to establish about the ultimate cause of his death before autopsy report. The police made announcements in nearby mosques but none of the citizens claimed to own the body, which was later moved to the city morgue for post-mortem.
