ISLAMABAD (APP) - Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has reiterated the resolve to take all possible steps for the welfare of people despite meagre resources. He was talking to the parliamentarians who called on him here at his Parliament House Chamber on Monday. He urged the parliamentarians to leave no stone unturned in implementing the steps taken by the govt to provide relief to the people. The parliamentarians hailed Gilani for his guidance to prepare a balanced and poor friendly budget. They also apprised him of the proceedings of both Houses of the Parliament during the budget session. The meeting was attended by Senator Saleem Saifullah, Senator Raza Rabbani, Deputy Chairman Senate, Jan Mohammad Jamali, Minister for Water and Power Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Minister of State for Finance Ms Hina Rabbani Khar, Minister for Sports Ejaz Jakhrani, Minister for Labour and Manpower Syed Khursheed Shah, Minister for Kashmir Affairs Mian Manzoor Wattoo, MNAs and Senators. Gilani said the government is keen to complete all the ongoing development projects across the country. For this purpose, he added the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the fiscal year 2010-11 has increased manifold. Prime Minister observed that development projects play an important part in the development of the areas and simultaneously generate employment. The MNAs apprised the Prime Minister of the progress of ongoing projects and also discussed new development schemes in their respective constituencies.
