RAWALPINDI Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench Monday suspended the operation of a First Information Report (FIR) lodged against 150 lawyers on various charges including thrashing SHO, attempt to kidnap police official, blocking roads and ransacking SP office in Islamabad. LHC judge Justice Waqar Hassan Mir also directed IG Islamabad Police and other respondents to appear before the court on next date of hearing and adjourned the proceedings till June 16. The petitioner advocate Aisamul Haq Satti moved the court against lodging FIR against lawyers and made IG Islamabad Police, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, SSP Islamabad and SHO Police Station (PS) Margalla as respondents. Talking to TheNation, he told that police had registered an FIR against some 150 lawyers but police is not providing the copy of FIR. On this, the court suspended the operation of FIR and directed the respondents to appear before the court on next date of hearing.
