Third National Women Football Club commences

LAHORE Third National Women Football Club Championship (Lahore Phase) exploded into action on Monday when Karachi Kickers bulldozed Sindh Soccerites 7-0 in Group-A at Korangi Baloch Stadium, Sharafi Goth, Karachi. The Group-A clash saw Karachi 4-0 up at interval and adding three more in the second session. The highlight of the match was hat-trick by striker Erum who struck for times for Qurat Ul Ain-led team. Erum was too speedy for Soccerities defenders and skipper/goal keeper Farah Tayyaba. Her goals came in the 10th, 16th, 45th and 56th minute. Midfielder Reema, wing full back Tarmina and winger Nuzhat were other scorers in the fifth, 22nd minute and 63rd minute respectively. Two-goal Fakhra was star performer in Peshawar FC s 3-1 win over United FC in Group-D (Pool I) at Frontier Women College, near Qisa Khawani Bazar, Peshawar City. Both the teams were tied 1-1 when Uniteds striker Nadia neutralized 7th minute goal of Fakhra four minutes later. Fakhra regained lead for Peshawar in the 41st minute and skipper Asiya put the issue beyond doubt in the 53rd minute.
