KARACHI - Tunisia is willing to have extensive bilateral trade relations with Pakistan. Tunisia has FTA with EU and welcomes Pakistani exporters. Ambassador of Tunisia Mourad Bourehla said while visiting My Karachi Exhibition 2010 at Expo Center here on Monday. The Ambassador briefed that Tunisia is a good market for rice, textiles, denim, spices, dairy products, marble and willing to offer good conditions to interested investors. He also informed that more than 3000 foreign companies are already present in Tunisia. Tunisian Ambassador remarked Karachi as a twin city to Sfax, the trade hub at Tunisia. Mourad Bourehla further added that Tunisia is one of the leading producers of olive oil, phosphates, dates, sea food, etc. President KCCI, Abdul Majid Haji Muhammad suggested Pakistani businessmen to explore Tunisia for textile weaving, spinning and processing plus Marble (Onyx) and access EU market. And welcomed Tunisian business community for joint ventures in Pakistan to process and export olive oil and explore Chinese market using FTA of Pakistan - China. Tunisia is also holding a single country exhibition after couple of months and invited Pakistani business community for participation.
