KARACHI - Four people were killed in different incidents of violence and mishaps here on Monday As per details, a vegetable vendor was axed to death over personal enmity in his house at Abidabad in the limits of Mochko police station here on Monday. Police said the deceased 38-year-old Shafiq, son of Rahim Gul, was the resident of Islam Nagar Baldia. At the time of the incident, he was sleeping in his home. Three unidentified persons barged into his house and killed him with the strokes of the axe. He was the father of three. The assailants managed to flee easily from the scene. The victim was hailed from Haripur, Hazara. Police shifted his body Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) and later handed over to his heirs. However, the police registered the case against unidentified persons and initiated probe. In another incident, a young man was killed and one injured in a target killing incident at Buffer Zone in the limits of Taimuria police station According to police, 28-year-old Tabish, son of Shahab, was going somewhere in a rickshaw when suddenly two motorcyclists came and open indiscriminate firing. Resultantly Tabish died on the spot and rickshaw driver Salim Khan sustained injuries. After the swift operation, culprits managed to escape from the scene. The body and the injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for treatment and legal formalities. They added that the victim was unmarried and used to run a ladies Laces shop in the same area where he resided. The victim had no affiliations with any political or religious party. Police suspected some personal enmity behind the incident. No case was registered till the filing of the report. Separately, a speedy bus (W-18) over turned near UP Mor in the limits of Taimuria police station. According to police, a bus was coming from Disco Mor which overturned at UP Mor. Resultantly, four people were injured including Tariq, Munir, Haris, Mubashir. They were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment, where doctors pronounced the death of Tariq, 25. He was the resident of North Karachi. Meanwhile, a speedy Shama Coach crushed a disabled man at Korangi crossing in the limits of Korangi Industrial Area police station. Police said the deceased Amir, 35, son of Ghulam Muhammad. He was the resident of Zia Colony, Korangi. He was going somewhere on wheel chair when the bus crushed him to death. After the incident, driver escaped from the scene while the coach was impounded. The body was shifted to Jinnah Post Graduate Medical (JPMC) for autopsy. No case was registered till the filing of this story.
