Army, Iran dominate Beach Kabaddi

ISLAMABAD - Iran maintained its dominance in the first International Beach Kabaddi Tournament by beating all its opponents on the second day of the event here at PSB on Tuesday. In the first match that started at 6:00 am, Navy beat Afghanistan 55-31 and Army beat Wapda 38-20 while in the second match which was the best match of the tournament, Navy edged out PAF 35-32. In the last match too Iran beat Wapda 60-34. The last day matches are scheduled to start at 6:00 am with three matches in the session and three more matches will be played at evening session. So far Iran and Army are leading their groups. Iran outplayed PAF 57-18. CDA Chairman Imtiaz Inayat Elahi was the chief guest along with Raza Maqsoodloo, President Iranian Kabaddi Federation, Capt Ansar Mehmood, President Navy Sports, M Shafaqt Gondal, SSP Lahore and Rana M Sarwar, Secretary Pakistan Kabaddi Federation. Federal Minister for Industries, Ch Pervaiz Elahi will be the guest of honour today (Wednesday) and will distribute trophies and certificates among the players. Mohsin Ali
