MULTAN - The activists of Saraiki Qaumi Ittehad (SQI) brought out a rally in favour of Saraiki Province here on Tuesday. A large number of marchers assembled at Chowk Ghanta Ghar and marched up to Multan Press Club, where they staged a protest. They were also holding placards and banners inscribed with their demands regarding immediate establishment of Saraiki Province. Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Jabbar Abbasi and others said that the only way to get the residents of South Punjab rid of sense of deprivation was to establish Saraiki Province. They said that the residents of Saraiki Belt demanded establishment of Saraiki Province on its historic and cultural foundations comprising Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Dera Ismael Khan and Sargodha divisions. They warned that otherwise the residents of South Punjab would reject all those political parties opposing Saraiki Province.
