ISLAMABAD: The MSCI (Morgan Stanley Capital International) has  announced inclusion of Pakistan in the category of “Emerging Markets”.

This was stated by the Finance Minister Mr Ishaq Dar in the National Assembly on Wednesday. He congratulated the Prime Minister, Parliament and the whole nation on the achievement.

The Finance Minister said this achievement is the result of macroeconomic stability, economic reforms and good governance by the incumbent government.

He said the inclusion of Pakistan in the category of "Emerging Markets" is an indication of the confidence of the International Institutions in the Economy of Pakistan.

Senator Dar said the new status of "Emerging Market" will help Pakistan to attract maximum foreign investment.
