MIRPUR (AJK)-The PML-N AJK Tuesday announced the names of its candidates to be fielded in the scheduled July 21 Azad Jammu and Kashmir General Elections-2016, it was officially declared.

The Parliamentary Board of the PML-N AJK declared to field following candidates in 36 out of all 41 electoral constituencies of the 49-seat AJK Legislative Assembly, lower house of the AJK parliament, on direct adult franchise basis:-

It is to be noted that AJK Legislative Assembly contains rest of eight reserved seats including five meant for women and one each for technocrats, Ulema/mashaikh and overseas Kashmiris. The reserved seats will be filled in through the electoral college comprising 41 directly-elected members of the Legislature.

June 16, 2016 is the last date for filing of the nomination papers to contest the elections, according to the schedule announced by the AJK Election Commission.
