Modi himself became India’s biggest enemy, says Ch Sarwar

LAHORE   -  Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar has said that Narendra Modi himself has become India’s biggest enemy. Israel and India’s mistreatment of their minorities is tantamount to terrorism. Prime Minister Imran Khan is in favour of good bilateral terms with India, but this will only be possible if the Kashmir dispute is resolved as per the UN resolutions. Due to Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts, the world is listening to Pakistan’s narrative today and the issues of Palestine and Kashmir are also being discussed. No world power, including the United States, can conquer Afghanistan. Dialogue is the only way to resolve issues, he maintained. He was addressing a seminar on “Kashmir, Palestine Issues and Current Situation” at Nazariya Pakistan Trust Lahore on Monday.

Former MNA Mehnaz Rafi, Samia Raheel, Senior Journalist Salman Ghani and former PCB Chairman Khalid Mahmood were also present on the occasion.

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that terrorists have no religion. The murder of the Pakistani family in Canada is condemnable. It is high time that the world must take practical steps to combat Islamophobia because it is no less dangerous than terrorism. Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that during his visit to the United States, he highlighted Kashmir and Palestine issues with all the officials that he met. “I am glad that the US officials are also keen on ensuring the protection of human rights. I have made it clear to the US officials that if the Kashmir issue and the Palestine issue are not resolved then peace will remain a dream.”

Governor Punjab said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has emerged as the ambassador of not only Kashmiris but also Palestinians. All overseas Pakistanis are also the ambassadors of Kashmiris and Palestinians, he added. Punjab Governor further stated that the Sikh community in the world also stands by Pakistan’s stance against Israeli and Indian atrocities.

Referring to Afghanistan, Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that Pakistan is playing a positive role in the Afghan peace process and giving airbase to the United States is out of question. The United States must also understand that it cannot conquer Afghanistan by force. This issue must be resolved through negotiations. On this occasion, other speakers said that Pakistan is with Kashmiri and Palestinian people and no power in the world can stop them from the struggle for freedom, he added.
